Migrate from Quick SQLite

react-native-quick-sqlite was renamed for version 9. The replacement package is react-native-nitro-sqlite, which requires react-native-nitro-modules. Update both the native dependency and your imports, then rebuild the app.

Install the new package

npm uninstall react-native-quick-sqlite
npm install react-native-nitro-sqlite react-native-nitro-modules
npx pod-install

Update calls to use a connection

The recommended 9.x API is the connection returned by open(). It binds the database name once, so query calls on that connection no longer pass the name each time:

Review every call site rather than applying a package-name substitution alone. In particular, check how you handle query results, queued async work, transactions, and close/delete timing. The generated API reference describes the current signatures, and sync and async explains connection ordering.

Check existing database files

Keep the existing filename and verify the actual storage path before upgrading. The package rename alone does not prove that every older installation stored files in the same directory.
